Our story began in 1967 when Vernal Glenn Humpherys earned his Broker’s license and began representing buyers and sellers in California. His son, Thomas Humpherys earned his Broker’s license in 1976 and Thomas’ wife Sandra followed suit in 1978. Sandra Humpherys began her real estate career in Northern San Diego County. She loved serving clients with passion and integrity, and repeatedly enjoyed ranking as the #1 agent in her office. As Sandra worked with buyers and sellers, the passion she put into the profession was on display to a then 8-year old “assistant” (her son Brent) who would attend open houses and make friendly conversation with prospective buyers who would visit.
But aside from watching his mother work, this little boy would frequently attend sales and prospecting seminars. He would later assist in mom’s office with mailing labels and even help with farming. As the young boy grew older, his love of real estate continued to develop into a life passion. He went off to college and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate and began buying and selling homes throughout San Diego County, often updating and flipping them. Brent and his wife Carrie have completed 21 purchase and sale transactions together since they married in 1995.
After 31 years in the business, Sandra fought and then thankfully won a battle with cancer and passed the baton to her son Brent Humpherys who runs the family business today with a commitment to the very same principles which have guided our service for 48 years:
